None of these packages are still available it was a limited promotion that ran for only a week.Īs far as how all this pertains to you: If you just pledged, you are a 'Veteran Backer' and have LTI (Lifetime Insurance) on your current ship, and any ships purchased before November 26th, 2013. The Aurora LX was basically a higher trim level, which included things like leather seats (not kidding) and a four missile mount preinstalled. The reason these packages were slightly more expensive than their counterparts, is because you got the Aurora LX as opposed to the base Aurora. Moving on to the Aurora promotion: There were two packages that included the game, (discounting add-on ships and ship upgrade) the 'Starter Package' ($35) and the 'Advanced Starter Package' ($45) the only difference was that the 'Starter Package' did not include the Squadron 42 campaign. 'Veteran Backers' have the 'Digital Scout' ($30) and 'Digital Mercenary' ($40) tiers both include Squadron 42 and Star Citizen, but only the $40 'Digital Mercenary' includes access to both the alpha and beta (and likely by extension, the Hangar Module). 'Original Backers' have two Aurora level tiers, 'Digital Scout' ($35) and 'Mercenary' ($40) since Citizen Cards have now shipped, these two tiers are identical in all but name. 'Original Backers' are those who pledged, or were gifted a pledge made, prior to November 26th, 2012 'Veteran Backers' are those who pledged after that date, but before the new website launches on June 28th, 2013. There seems to be a lot of confusion, so let me try and clear up somethings:įirst off, there are two types of backers (at current), and each have their own available pledge levels and pricing.
